Car Traveling At High Speed Crashes Into House In Norwalk

A car traveling at a high rate of speed along a Norwalk street crashed into a home after smashing through several trees.

The incident took place late Thursday, June 6, at 59 Winfield Street, said the Norwalk Fire Department.

According to the department, the car was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed went off the road through several trees, then landed on top of a pickup truck in the driveway next to the house smashing the window of the home.

The two occupants were removed from the car and transported to Norwalk Hospital. The extent of their injuries and their identification is not known at this time, the department said.

Occupants of the home were not injured.

Norwalk police are investigating the incident.
